RE: squit eyes of my son
by srinath
|
Sir, My 7 year old son has congenital squint.
(HE WAS OPERATED FOR HIPOSADIASIS AT 3 YEARS AND LEFT-NECK-TORTICOLLIS AT 5 YEARS OF AGE)
On consultation with 3 / 4 Doctors, the following was suggested:-
a. My son has alternating divergent squint. b. There is not problem with his vision. c. Cosmetic surgery may be required for squint correction. d. A surgery was recommended by 2/3 Doctors on both the eyes.
On my friends suggestion, I consulted ayurvedic doctors, who suggested few exercises like using candles and concentrating with each eye separately, Closing the eyes and sees the sun of about 20 no counts etc. They opine that this ALERNATE DIVERGENT SQUINT CAN BE CORRECTED WITHOUT SURGERY.
Since my son has already undergone 2 surgery (on different parts earlier), my questions is:-
i. Can this be corrected by exercises (if so of what type), ii. Can surgery be avoided; iii.If a surgery is neccessitated, how is the surgery done.
Since I have to decided this issue, I will be glad if I YOUR ESTEEMED FEED BACK.
